Our commitment

Varstan Bookkeeping Services is committed to making varstan.com and our client portal (app.varstan.com) accessible and usable for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. varstan.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which means some parts of the content may not fully conform. Every page on this site passes our automated accessibility testing; some third-party content and older PDF documents are outside our control (see Known limitations below).

What we have done

  • Text and buttons meet WCAG color-contrast requirements.
  • Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline, and a “Skip to main content” link at the top.
  • Pages use a main content landmark and headings in a logical order, so screen-reader users can navigate by section.
  • Form fields, calculator sliders and menus have labels that describe them.
  • Images have text alternatives, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on phones, and respect your device's “reduce motion” setting.
  • Our client portal (app.varstan.com) was reviewed on October 18, 2026: every screen can be used with a keyboard, pop-up windows move focus into themselves and close with Escape, each page has its own title, and there is a “Skip to main content” link.

How we check

We review the site with automated accessibility testing (Lighthouse/axe) and manual keyboard checks, and we re-check when we publish new pages. Our most recent review was on October 18, 2026.

Known limitations

  • Some PDF documents, such as IRS forms and older downloads, may not be fully accessible. We can provide the information in another format on request.
  • Some content comes from third parties we don't control, such as Google Maps, QuickBooks, Stripe payment pages and SignWell e-signature screens. If any of these gives you trouble, contact us and we'll help you complete the task another way.
